Trauma Healing & EMDR
You don’t have to carry it alone anymore.
Trauma shapes us, but it doesn’t define us. Healing is possible.
I offer a trauma-informed, compassionate space where every part of you is welcome — even the parts that feel messy, uncertain, or afraid. Together, we’ll gently explore what’s been carried in your body, your memories, and your emotional world.
You don’t need to have the right words, and you don’t need to be ready to tell the whole story. Silence, tears, laughter, even dissociation — all are welcome here. We’ll move at your pace, honoring your nervous system and trusting your readiness every step of the way.
How I Work
My approach to trauma healing is slow, collaborative, and deeply attuned to your unique nervous system. I integrate EMDR with parts work (IFS), somatic awareness, and polyvagal theory to help you feel grounded, empowered, and connected to yourself.
I offer simple, direct, and accessible psychoeducation to help you understand what’s happening in your body — why you might freeze, dissociate, shut down, or feel overwhelmed — and how to gently support yourself in those moments. This includes learning the basics of your nervous system and how to create practices of self-regulation and co-regulation that actually work for you.
We’ll build a space where your sensory needs, pacing, communication style, and emotional rhythms are honored. There's no pressure to be “on” or “put together.” You get to come exactly as you are — and from there, we’ll walk gently toward healing together.
What is EMDR?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a structured, evidence-based therapy that helps the brain process and release distressing or stuck memories. Trauma can overwhelm the nervous system, leaving certain experiences frozen in time — still holding emotional or physical charge long after the moment has passed. EMDR helps the brain reprocess these memories so they no longer feel as overwhelming or disruptive in daily life.
This is done through bilateral stimulation — typically gentle back-and-forth eye movements, tapping, or sound — which supports the brain’s natural healing process. You don’t need to talk through every detail of your trauma. Instead, we follow your inner experience, using EMDR to bring relief and resolution in a way that honors your pace and nervous system.
EMDR can be done virtually, using online tools and guided techniques to ensure safety and effectiveness from the comfort of your own space. I’ve also received specialized training in providing EMDR to neurodivergent clients, and I tailor each session to honor sensory needs, communication preferences, and processing styles that may differ from traditional approaches.
Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply curious, EMDR offers a gentle but powerful path toward integration and relief.
Trauma healing can include:
Trauma can show up in many ways — especially for neurodivergent folks whose nervous systems process the world differently. Healing may include:
Chronic anxiety, overstimulation, or shutdown responses
Sensory trauma and nervous system dysregulation
Emotional flashbacks or feeling “frozen,” foggy, or scattered
Complex PTSD, developmental trauma, or medical trauma
Shame and self-blame from years of masking or being misunderstood
Feeling disconnected from your body, identity, or inner voice
Executive dysfunction and difficulty asking for help
Being labeled “too sensitive,” “too much,” or “not enough”
Relational trauma and attachment wounds from invalidating environments
Relearning that rest, softness, and safety are not only allowed — they’re necessary
Your body remembers — but it can also remember safety.
If you’re ready to begin, or just curious, I’d love to connect.
